You can upload two types of files: For AI Menu Scanning: Upload your visual menu as a PDF, PNG, JPG, or JPEG. For Bulk Data Import: Upload a spreadsheet with your menu data as a CSV, XLSX, or XLS file.

Does it handle drinks and food?

MenuOptimizer is designed for your entire menu. You can categorize items as appetizers, main courses, desserts, and all types of beverages including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.

Yes. You can see the impact of price changes by editing any menu item and updating its price. The app will instantly recalculate its profit margin, contribution margin, and its classification (Star, Puzzle, etc.), showing you the effect of the price change on its performance.

Do I need exact food costs?

While exact COGS will give you the most accurate results, it's not required. If you leave the COGS field blank when adding an item, MenuOptimizer will automatically apply an industry-standard estimate based on the item's category. You can always update the costs later for more precision.

Will it show my most and least profitable items?

Yes, this is a core feature. The dashboard and analysis pages highlight your "Stars" (most profitable, popular items) and your "Dogs" (least profitable, least popular), along with everything in between.
