BarGlance Inc. Privacy Policy

We at Barglance, Inc. ___ ("we," “our,” or "BG") have created this privacy policy (“Policy”) to demonstrate our firm commitment to protecting your personal information and informing you about how we handle it. This Policy applies to: (a) information we collect from when you are on our application; (b) information collected in email, text, and other electronic messages between you and this application, and (c) any information we collect when you interact with our advertising on third-party websites and services, provided those advertisements include links to this Policy.

 

This Policy does not apply to information collected by: (a) us offline or through any other means (including on any other website) or (b) any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or through this application.

Age Restrictions

 

We restrict use of our application to individuals age twenty-one and above. Therefore, please note that nowhere on the application do we knowingly collect or maintain personal information from children under the age of eighteen. If you become aware that personal data about a person under the age of twenty-one has been provided to us, please immediately contact us using the details below.

 

Third-Party Content and Links

 

The application may include content or links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave our application, we encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website or application you visit.

 

Marketing Communications

 

By creating an account, you are opting in to receive BG’s marketing emails or messages. These periodic marketing messages can be either text messages or emails and can include, but not be limited to, general business updates, banner ads or special offers, promotional materials, newsletters, information, or special event information. IP Address

 

Like most online services, each time you visit our application, we will automatically collect your IP address. In order to administer and optimize our application for you, we use your IP address to help identify you and gather general demographic information about you.

 

Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It

 

We may collect, use, store and transfer several different types of information from and about users of our application, including information:

    • date and time stamp for being on our application

    • Additional information for mobile users may include:

      • Mobile carrier

      • Other apps you have downloaded

  4. information collected through your communications with us, including those through email, comments posted on our third-party pages (such as Facebook, Instagram, or other social media pages), or messages you send us through those social media services;

  5. information collected through third-party social networking sites. In the event you connect your account on our application to a third-party social networking site, you permit us to access and use information about you that is made available to us through or from that site or application. The information obtained by us varies by site/application and may be affected but can include information such as your name, profile picture, public profile, photos you are tagged in, videos, contacts, friends lists or followers. By using or linking our application through or with the social media site, you authorize us to collect, store, retain and use, in accordance with this Policy, any and all of your information that we have obtained from the application. You acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for, and have no control over, any applicable privacy settings on any social networking site;

  6. Information about your location through GPS, wi-fi, or other methods in order to obtain your location. We may also approximate your location through your IP address.

 

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

 

We use cookies and other similar tracking methods (such as web beacons)(“Cookies”) to automatically collect information, measure and analyze which parts of our application you open, enhance your experience using the application, and, if applicable, provide you with targeted marketing on the application. A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your device. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our application. Unless you have adjusted your settings so that your device will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you open our application. Additionally, some parts of our application and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit BG, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related application statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain content and verifying system and server integrity).

 

Our service providers and our business partners may collect information about your online activities on the application through Cookies by linking your account information and activity across all your devices. We do not control these third-parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

Your Rights

 

You may submit a request to access or delete the information we have collected about you by sending your request to us at the email or physical address provided in the Contact section at the bottom of this policy. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law and subject to proper verification. And we do not discriminate based on the exercise of any privacy rights that you might have.

 

Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information

 

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

 

  1. Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set the application to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this application may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

  2. Promotional Offers from the Company. If you do not wish to have your contact information used by BG to promote our own or third parties' products or services, you can opt-out by sending us an email stating your request to privacy@barglance.com. If we have sent you a promotional email, you may send us a return email asking to be omitted from future email distributions.

 

California Residents

 

This section applies to you if you are a resident of the state of California. California law requires us to disclose certain information regarding the categories of personal information we collect. For purposes of this section, “personal information” has the meaning provided by the California Consumer Privacy Act (the “CCPA”) and does not include information that is publicly available, that is deidentified or aggregated such that it is not capable of being associated with us, or that is excluded from the CCPA’s scope, such as personal information covered by certain sector-specific privacy laws, such as HIPAA, the FCRA, the GLBA or the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act of 1994. This section does not apply to information relating to our employees, contractors, applicants and other personnel.

 

If you are a California resident, once a calendar year, you may be entitled to obtain information about personal information that we shared, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing uses. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information, as well as the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared customer information for the immediately prior calendar year. Your State Privacy Rights

 

Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah each provide their state residents with rights to:

  1. confirm whether we process their personal information;

  2. access and delete certain personal information;

  3. data portability; and

  4. opt-out of personal data processing for targeted advertising and sales.

 

Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia also provide their state residents with rights to:

  1. correct inaccuracies in their personal information, taking into account the information's nature processing purpose; or

  2. opt-out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Data Security

 

While we have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from unauthorized access, the safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you, or where you have chosen, a password for access to certain parts of our application, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

 

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to or through our application. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained in the application.

 

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

 

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our Policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will notify you through a notice on the application home page. The date the Policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page.
