We at BarGlance, Inc. ___ ("we," “our,” or "BG") have created this privacy policy (“Policy”) to demonstrate our firm commitment to protecting your personal information and informing you about how we handle it. This Policy applies to: (a) information we collect from when you are on our application; (b) information collected in email, text, and other electronic messages between you and this application, and (c) any information we collect when you interact with our advertising on third-party websites and services, provided those advertisements include links to this Policy.

 

This Policy does not apply to information collected by: (a) us offline or through any other means (including on any other website) or (b) any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or through this application.

Age Restrictions

 

We restrict use of our application to individuals age twenty-one and above. Therefore, please note that nowhere on the application do we knowingly collect or maintain personal information from children under the age of eighteen. If you become aware that personal data about a person under the age of twenty-one has been provided to us, please immediately contact us using the details below.

 

Third-Party Content and Links

 

The application may include content or links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. Marketing Communications

 

By creating an account, you are opting in to receive BG’s marketing emails or messages. These periodic marketing messages can be either text messages or emails and can include, but not be limited to, general business updates, banner ads or special offers, promotional materials, newsletters, information, or special event information. IP Address

 

Like most online services, each time you visit our application, we will automatically collect your IP address. In order to administer and optimize our application for you, we use your IP address to help identify you and gather general demographic information about you.

We do not access your friends lists, photos, or other private content from these services.

  6. Information about your location through GPS, wi-fi, or other methods in order to obtain your location. We may also approximate your location through your IP address.

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons, pixels, and tags) to:

  • remember your preferences and settings,

  • help you sign in and move through the app more smoothly,

  • understand how people use BarGlance and improve performance, and

  • (where applicable) deliver relevant promotions or marketing.

Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information

 

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

 

  1. Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set the application to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this application may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

  2. Promotional Offers from the Company. If you do not wish to have your contact information used by BG to promote our own or third parties' products or services, you can opt-out by sending us an email stating your request to [email protected]. If we have sent you a promotional email, you may send us a return email asking to be omitted from future email distributions.

 

California Residents

 

This section applies to you if you are a resident of the state of California. California law requires us to disclose certain information regarding the categories of personal information we collect. For purposes of this section, “personal information” has the meaning provided by the California Consumer Privacy Act (the “CCPA”) and does not include information that is publicly available, that is deidentified or aggregated such that it is not capable of being associated with us, or that is excluded from the CCPA’s scope, such as personal information covered by certain sector-specific privacy laws, such as HIPAA, the FCRA, the GLBA or the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act of 1994. This section does not apply to information relating to our employees, contractors, applicants and other personnel.

If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information, as well as the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared customer information for the immediately prior calendar year.
